TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified OR RN in Springfield, Illinois, 62781 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Operating Room Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (06:45 - 15:15) Guaranteed Hours: Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen-week assignment without paying for the canceled hours. Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience required License: Must have an active IL license in hand or be in the application process to apply Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) and Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred Must-Have: - General OR and Trauma experience required - Level I trauma experience - Cerner experience preferred - Experience in Bariatric, General Surgery, Neurology, Orthopedic, Plastic Surgery, Transplant, Urology, and Trauma cases - Experience in emergency management, equipment handling, professional knowledge, and skills including infection control, blood product administration, and universal protocol procedures Job Description: - Work in a facility with 23 operating rooms - On-call requirement once a week, though not frequently - Weekend work required (1 per month) - Responsible for handling various case skills and experience in different medical areas - Participate in code response, fire safety, and other emergency management functions - Collaborate with the facility to meet patient needs within skill set - Ensure infection control and radiation safety protocols are followed - Perform specimen handling/labeling and urinary bladder catheterization - Complete a virtual orientation followed by annual updates 26035757EXPTEMP Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS - AHA BLS - AHA Core Competency Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam 5 Benefits of Travel Nursing Advocating for patients from diverse backgrounds and with different healthcare needs refines your patient advocacy skills, making you a more effective advocate in various healthcare settings.
